Summer Programs

Does your child ask for an animal every day? Send them to Summer Farm Program with plenty of animals to play!

Our Educational Series introduces children to the world of animals. This program presents a hands on experience focusing on the different groups of animals here at the farm.

About Our Programs

Our programs are designed to:

  • encourage a strong passion for animal welfare
  • promote responsibility in the care of animals
  • educate about the needs of the animals
  • encourage a human-animal bond
  • educate about the purpose of dairy cattle, sheep, chickens & other animals
  • provide a fun and safe learning experience!

Please be aware we take a hands-on approach to teaching about the care of the animals. This includes active participation in feeding, watering and cleaning in and around animals. Smiling Hill Farm is unable to accommodate children with significant behavioral and/or emotional difficulties. If your child requires additional support in the school/home setting and other recreational programs, we suggest looking into programs that are more therapeutic in nature.

Each day will also include a story time, journal writing & arts & crafts activities.

Other activities include: making ice cream and butter, llama walks, and collecting eggs!
