The Smiling Hill Barnyard

The Barnyard is home to over 175 farm animals. We have many standard farm animals such as donkeys, pigs & geese. We also have a number of less common farm animals like prairie dogs, deer, llamas & alpacas.

Visit our petting areas, including the Baby Goat Petting Area, with rotating moms and babies throughout the season. Our petting areas allow access to behind the fence visitation. New poultry babies will be in the Hatching House waiting for you to visit.

Our Maternity Barn offers you the chance to visit our expectant mothers and newborn babies (May—August).

The Barnyard is designed to be an outdoor experience with room to play, including wooden climbing structures and Mary-Ann, the steam shovel.

At the end of your visit, check out our Gift Shop, which is fully stocked with lots of farm and animal themed educational activities and toys, Our friendly staff is eager to assist you with your animal experience. We love sharing information about our history and animals.

For the Safety of our Guests and animals, we ask that guests respect our rules on various signage throughout the Barnyard.

Signage includes: How to feed animals properly, weight limits for pedal tractors, petting area safety and please do not pick up the baby goats. Failure to abide by rules may result in eviction from the Barnyard.
